Job Description
The Infection Prevention – Employee Health/Education Nurse Manager has multiple responsibilities.
In the area of Infection Prevention, the responsibilities include:
Surveillance, analysis, and reporting of nosocomial and community acquired infections; educating employees about infection prevention; and the development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection prevention standards that meet DNV, OSHA, Public Health Department, and Center for Disease Prevention requirements.
In the area of Employee Health there are two major focuses to the role:
Monitoring of general employee health and coordinating the pre-employment physical process; and
Coordinating clinical aspects of the Worker’s Compensation program.
Job Requirements
Education: BSN desirable
License: Licensed RN
Experience: Five years nursing experience with demonstrated leadership qualities, effective communication at all levels, knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection prevention and principles of microbiology and epidemiology
